League Championship Series Goes the Distance, Ellsworth Prevails Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Ellsworth Bulls have edged the Minot Sluggers. The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested League Championship Series, with a 8-6 win in the clincher being the difference for Ellsworth and giving them the ticket to the World Series with a 4-3 series triumph. "We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Daiwer Castellanos, who was named series MVP. For the series, Castellanos hit .346 with a .455 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 6 runs. The Ellsworth Bulls will play against the Medford Aviators in the next round. Medford won their series against the Edmore Golden Hawks 4 games to 2.
