Nobles End Machado's Streak Wednesday, August 4th, 2021 The Cold Spring Harbor Nobles pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Estiven Machado hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 4-0 victory over the Minot Sluggers at Cold Spring Harbor Grounds. The disappointing performance ended a 20-game hitting streak for the shortstop. "I'm a little down right now," Machado said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." Machado is batting .403 this year with 2 home runs, 22 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 54 hits in 134 at-bats. |
