Cold Spring Harbor's Thomson Will Miss Season Thursday, July 22nd, 2021 The doctors have spoken and Greg Thomson of the Cold Spring Harbor Nobles didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Thomson sustained his season-ending injury during the Chackbay Trail Blazers game yesterday at Cold Spring Harbor Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Cold Spring Harbor medical staff reported Thomson had bone chips in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. So far this season Thomson has a 2-1 record with a 6.75 ERA. |
