Paris Raps Wilmington for 5 Hits
Friday, July 2nd, 2021
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the St. Louis's 11-9 win over Wilmington today, shortstop Kyren Paris was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Surge Ballpark.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Paris said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Kyren Paris tripled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Looking at his season stats, Paris has compiled a .333 batting average and a .385 on-base percentage, while hitting no home runs and driving in 2 runs.
