Blue Wahoos SS Young Suspended 3 Games Friday, June 26th, 2020 For his part in an altercation with an umpire over a third strike, Norfolk Blue Wahoos shortstop Cole Young will have to sit out 3 games. The league commissioner's office today notified the Blue Wahoos that Young had been suspended for his poor conduct during the Redskins game yesterday at Redskins Stadium. After being ejected, Young turned and walked toward the dugout, but then turned around, began yelling at the umpire and kicked dirt on home plate. The league said this type of behavior is not acceptable and will be dealt with according to league disciplinary policies. A look at his season totals shows Young with no home runs, .133 BA, .212 OBP, 2 RBIs and 1 run scored. |
