Great Day for LaRussa -- 5 Hits Saturday, September 4th, 2021 5 times is the charm -- at least for Josh LaRussa. The San Bernardino Golden Knights center fielder tore up the Winnfield Lumber Kings to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Lumber Kings Ballpark today. The offensive onslaught from LaRussa powered the Golden Knights to a 12-5 win. "LaRussa was a tough out today," Winnfield manager Alex Vasques said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Josh LaRussa singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This year LaRussa is hitting .297, produced 29 RBIs and 3 home runs, scored 54 times and gotten on base at a .417 rate. View Boxscore |
