Sox Leonardo Sizzles with Cycle Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 Iverson Leonardo had a day to remember at Sox Ballpark today, but the memory will be bittersweet. Even though Leonardo hit for the cycle, his Montana City Sox still fell to the Edmore Golden Hawks, 8-7. The 19-year-old right fielder went 5-for-5 with 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored in the loss. "It's a heartbreaker for Iverson," said Montana City manager Joseph Rocchio. "He deserved to get a win after a day like that." Iverson Leonardo tripled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 10th, walked in the 12th and hit a solo-shot off Carmen Mlodzinski in the 14th. Currently Leonardo is batting .390 with 16 hits and 2 home runs. He has knocked in 6 runs and scored 9 times. View Boxscore |
