Marklund OR's #1 Pitcher in August Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 "The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games." Brandon Marklund put together a very solid month to take home the OLL Rookie League's top pitching honor in August. The 24-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 12 relief appearances he raked in 5 saves and 22 strikeouts in 12 innings as he put together his 4-1 record and 1.50 ERA. This year Marklund has collected 8 saves. In all he has made 17 relief appearances, thrown 17.1 innings, struck out 34 and walked 5. His record shows 5 wins and 1 loss with a 1.04 earned run average. |
