Romero Spins No-Hitter Against Tulsa Thursday, July 16th, 2020 It was a fantastic day for Montgomery Tar Heels starter Seth Romero and a lousy day for the Tulsa Lancers. The Montgomery hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Lancers, as the Tar Heels cruised to a 9-0 win. When it was all over, Romero was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter. "The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Romero said later. He rang up 18 strikeouts and allowed 3 walks while shutting Tulsa down at Tar Heels Ballpark. This year Romero has a 4-0 record with a 0.82 ERA. |
