No-Hitter for DeMers Saturday, June 20th, 2020 Red Lodge Minutemen starter Joe DeMers was unhittable today at Ballpark of Red Lodge. DeMers beat the Maricopa Reds 1-0, breezing through the Reds lineup en route to a no-hitter. "I thought Joe started off a little slow and was struggling with his command at first," Minutemen manager Aaron Steven said later. "He lucked his way through the early innings, and they helped him out by not being patient. Eventually, it all came together for him, and from there on the Reds never had a chance. He dominated them." DeMers struck out 7 batters and issued 5 walks in the performance. Checking out his stats for the season, DeMers has notched 6 wins and 1 loss in 12 starts, 2.70 ERA and struck out 71 batters in 73.1 innings. |
