No Late-Season Magic Coming: DeLeon Springs Out of Playoffs Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the DeLeon Springs Mets. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Mets manager Robin Ventura. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." The Mets are still searching for their first playoff appearance. The team also missed qualifying for the postseason last season. |
