Pearl's Galbraith Suspended for 2 Games Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 The Pearl Ports were officially notified that catcher Matt Galbraith had been suspended for an altercation that occurred in yesterday's game with the Mets at Pearl Grounds. After arguing a called third strike by the plate umpire, an enraged Galbraith threw his batting helmet toward home after he reached the dugout. That action got him ejected and a 2-game suspension. "I threw the helmet and I shouldn't have. But I don't deserve the suspension. It was a bad call that started this whole mess." In the current season, Galbraith has put up a .125 batting average with 6 hits, 1 home run, 1 RBI and scored 7 runs. |
