Dixon-Morristown Fight Results in Suspensions Tuesday, August 10th, 2021 Yesterday at Dixon Grounds Kevin Alcantara and Brandon Williamson got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Dixon Lightning and Morristown Canaries. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Alcantara will have to sit out 4 while Williamson would be given a 9-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. Thus far this year Alcantara has hit .180 with 4 home runs and 23 RBIs. This year Williamson has a 3-0 record with a 1.82 ERA. |
