Jakob Hernandez Sidelined for Season Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 Jakob Hernandez will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Dixon reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Hernandez was injured while throwing a pitch in the Lightning-Reds clash at Great American Ball Park recently. Doctors said he has ulnar nerve entrapment and would be out a minimum of 4 months. In 31 relief appearances this season, Hernandez has 3 saves. He has no wins and 1 loss, 1.26 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 50 innings. |
