Mets Sampen to Miss Year
Monday, July 12th, 2021
When DeLeon Springs starting pitcher Caleb Sampen was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Mets-Wolfhounds game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Sampen had sustained a torn rotator cuff and will be out for about 9 months.
To date this season Sampen has compiled a 6-4 record with a 3.35 ERA in 10 starts.
