Crew Hunter Bigge Will Miss Season Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 The doctors have spoken and Hunter Bigge of the Scottsdale Crew didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Bigge sustained his season-ending injury during the Toledo Renegades game yesterday at Crew Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Scottsdale medical staff reported Bigge had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. This year Bigge has notched no saves. He has 39 strikeouts and 5 walks in 21.2 innings while registering a 2.49 ERA and a 2-0 won-lost record. |
