Burleson Pops 3 Out of the Park Against Olympians Monday, May 17th, 2021 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Wickerham Manor-Fisher Olympians today. Fremont left fielder Alec Burleson tripled up on the home runs to propel the Shamrocks to the 4-1 win at Shamrocks Ballpark. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Wickerham Manor-Fisher manager Alexander Muirhead said. "Burleson hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Burleson collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Alec Burleson flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Blake Walston in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Blake Walston in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Carlos Lomeli in the 7th. To date Burleson has chalked up a .281 average with 7 home runs, driven in 20 runs and scored 15 times. |
