OA Announces Player of the Week Monday, May 10th, 2021 21-year-old Jhon Torres made a few Ontario headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and OLL Class A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .400 average. Torres collected 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This season Torres has hit 8 home runs and posted a .328 batting average. |
