Bad Behavior Costs Diaz and Munoz Thursday, May 6th, 2021 Yesterday at Lancers Ballpark Danny Diaz and Jhonatan Munoz got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Tulsa Lancers and Brewster Cats. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Diaz will have to sit out 4 while Munoz would be given a 9-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This year Diaz has socked 14 hits in 49 at-bats for a .286 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .340 pace and his totals also include 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
