Canaries Rijo to Miss Year Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 The season is ending on a bad note for Luis Rijo, starting pitcher for the Morristown Canaries. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Rijo was hurt against the Winston-Salem Diesel Dogs while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn labrum and will be out for at least 9 months. Rijo has made 5 starts so far this year and put up a 0-2 won-lost record with a 5.40 ERA. In 23.1 innings he has allowed 30 hits, walked 10 and struck out 24. |
