Martin Strokes 5 Hits Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 Fans at Buzz Ballpark got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Durham Buzz outplayed the Colorado Springs Armadillos en route to a 6-5 win, but the standout was second baseman Casey Martin. Martin netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Armadillos manager Kevin Sciolino said in his postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Casey Martin doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jake Stevenson in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
