Mammoths Dominate, Sweep League Championship Series
|
The St. Armand Mammoths are on to the World Series after a convincing series win over the Akron Chippers.
St. Armand wrapped up the series sweep with a 6-3 win in the last game, to take the series 4-0.
"We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Josh Ockimey, who was named series MVP.
For the series, Ockimey hit .231 with a .412 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The St. Armand Mammoths don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Pearl Ports - Anchorage Wolfhounds series. Anchorage leads the series 2 game to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.\n
