Trash Pandas Stumble, Lose to Barracudas
The home crowd had a good time watching the Oklahoma City Trash Pandas and Mesa Barracudas get after it.

David Bote was a major contributor to the 8-3 Mesa win over Oklahoma City. The Barracudas second baseman went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Sterling Sharp. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 1.

With Mesa leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Bote hit a changeup from Hyun-jin Ryu for a 2-run double. It was his 21st double of the season and put the Barracudas ahead, 3-0.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Bote told the Mesa Times. "But we take nothing for granted."

With the win, the Barracudas have a record of 62-86.
