The Austin Murder Hornets beat the Mesa Barracudas, 5-2, at Barracudas Ballpark. Roberto Perez, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the win, Austin raised its record to 40-37.

Perez contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Austin in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Perez took a sinker from Sterling Sharp and stroked the home run to left. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Murder Hornets to leap in front, 2-1.
