Sears Pitches Gales to Shutout Victory Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 JP Sears held the Hialeah Sun Cats to 3 hits and fashioned a fine 5-0 shutout at Sun Cats Ballpark today. Speaking after the game, Odessa Gales manager Matro Montalvo said "Sears had everything going for him today." He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful." Sears rung up 7 strikeouts and surrendered no walks in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Hialeah manager Bryan Ekman told reporters. |
