Made Big Deal in St. Paul: Hits for Cycle
Tuesday, June 16th, 2020
Marlin Made punished the Fairfield Werewolves today, leading the Mountain Cats to a 9-2 win. In doing so, Made hit for the cycle, tagging the Werewolves for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
A player hitting a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game is one of the more unusual feats in professional baseball and typically happens only a couple times per season.
"Well, I didn't expect that to happen," the St. Paul left fielder said after the game. "I got some great pitches and I hit their mistakes."
Made also had 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored in the game at Mountain Cats Ballpark.
Marlin Made singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Robert Dominguez in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
