Turner Named Top Reliever for OS A Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 At the age of 22, Matt Turner says he still has a lot to learn about life in OLL Short Season A. But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Harborcreek Chicks reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2021 OLL Short Season A Reliever of the Year Award. "I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Miami, Florida native said. For the season, Turner had 4 saves in 31 relief appearances, which totaled 42. He fanned 58 betters, while walking 11 and put up a record of 3-0 to go with his 0.86 ERA. He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 26. Tanner Burns of the Harborcreek Chicks finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Trace Bright of the La Fayette Green Sox finished third.
