League Gets Last Word, Suspends Guillen 4 Games Friday, August 27th, 2021 Esteban Guillen, center fielder for the Spokane Cossacks, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 4-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with Ozark. After being called out on strikes, Guillen stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap. "I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Guillen told BNN today. So far this year Guillen is hitting .317 with 1 home run. |
