Newport News-Spokane Brawl, Tovar and Bates Suspended Tuesday, August 10th, 2021 Ezequiel Tovar of the Newport News Orange Kings and David Bates of the Spokane Cossacks received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Ballpark of Newport News. This season Tovar has hit at a .165 clip with 11 RBIs, 2 home runs and 7 runs scored. This season Bates has gone 1-2 with an ERA of 4.44, posting 59 strikeouts in 48.2 innings. |
