Mateo Gil Injured, Out for Season Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 When Corpus Christi second baseman Mateo Gil was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Musketeers-Seminoles game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Gil had sustained a concussion and will be out for about 8 months. This season Gil is batting .284 with 4 home runs.
