OLL Short Season A #1 Hurler is Flores Sunday, August 1st, 2021 "The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games." Michael Flores put together a very solid month to take home the OLL Short Season A's top pitching honor in July. The 18-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 12 relief appearances he raked in 9 saves and 24 strikeouts in 14 innings as he put together his 2-0 record and 1.29 ERA. Up to this point in the season, Flores has fashioned a 2-1 won-lost mark, made 15 relief appearances and rung up 10 saves. He has a 2.89 ERA and has allowed 8 hits over his 18.2 innings of work, struck out 31 batters and walked 4. |
