5-Hit Blitz by Carlson Friday, July 30th, 2021 It was a big day for Tanner Carlson and he brought the Salt Lake City Mercury along for the ride. Carlson led his club to a 26-3 victory over the Deale Fighting Knights today at Salt Lake City Grounds, smoking Deale pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The 20-year-old shortstop later called the victory "sweet." Tanner Carlson hit a two-run home run off Jose Acuna in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
