Irate Cerny Suspended 2 Games Thursday, July 15th, 2021 Logan Cerny was incensed today after he was suspended by the commissioner's office for 2 games following a wild argument at the Wichita-La Fayette game. The league cited the Power catcher for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," in the notification letter. Cerny strongly objected to a questionable call by the home plate umpire and was ejected. "Ejection? Maybe. But not suspension. It's ludicrous is what it is. It's totally uncalled for. I have no idea why. You have to ask the people in the league office that wear the coats and ties and don't get on the field. I didn't cause the altercation, the umpire did. It was a lousy call." For the year Cerny is batting .296 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
