Silver Knights Russell Smith to Miss Year Saturday, August 29th, 2020 The season is ending on a bad note for Russell Smith, starting pitcher for the Kansas City Silver Knights. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Smith was hurt against the Green Cove Springs Fusion while throwing a pitch. He suffered shoulder inflammation and will be out for at least 4 months. Smith has made 6 starts so far this year and put up a 1-5 won-lost record with a 5.26 ERA. In 39.1 innings he has allowed 49 hits, walked 18 and struck out 35. |
