League Issues Brown 4-Game Suspension
Saturday, August 29th, 2020
The suspension of first baseman Michael Brown did not sit well with the Crugers Honkers. Both Brown and his manager were livid at what both say is an unjustified 4-game suspension issued today by league officials. Brown was suspended for "inappropriate conduct" during a game against the Harborcreek Chicks yesterday at Chicks Ballpark.

Brown was ejected from the game for arguing a strike call. "It's not right," he said, adding, "I didn't do anything to deserve this. Eject me, but don't suspend me."

His manager also vented his displeasure. "Arguments go on all the time, face-to-face, and there's not a suspension. To be suspended is ridiculous. That's bull."

Brown did more than just argue the call, he threw his bat at the feet of the umpire and walked off the field. That is the main reason the league suspended him.

So far this year, Brown is batting .330 with 4 home runs and 19 RBIs.
