The future looks extremely bright for Nolan Gorman. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in OLL Double A.

Gorman has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the OLL Double A Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .270 this year, that's for sure," the third baseman said.

The Bakersfield 97s star also put up a .355 on-base percentage this year, with 130 hits, 22 doubles, 4 triples, 46 home runs, 98 RBIs and 83 runs scored.

He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 26. Jodd Carter of the Lincoln Fire Dogs finished second in voting with 10 first place votes, while Curtis Terry of the Bakersfield 97s finished third.
