Defenders Diplan Has 16 Ks Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 Virginia Beach Defenders starter Marcos Diplan brought his best stuff to Virginia Beach Fields today against the Chesapeake Tar Heels, striking out 16 batters in his club's 6-0 victory. In a strong performance, the 24-year-old Diplan gave up 2 hits in his 7.1 innings of work and issued 2 walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my fastball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me."
