OAA Names Best Player Monday, August 16th, 2021 23-year-old Drew Mendoza made a few Jersey City headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and OLL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 22 at-bats to put up a .455 average. Mendoza collected 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Currently Mendoza has 22 home runs and a .222 batting average. |
