Great Stroke: Valera Gets 5 Hits Saturday, August 14th, 2021 Leonel Valera really sizzled at the plate in today's 10-5 win over Makos. The Chesapeake second baseman blistered Omaha for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Valera was too tough to get out today," the Makos skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Leonel Valera struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Zach Wolf in the 9th.
