Rowdy Players Suspended by League Saturday, July 31st, 2021 After an intense confrontation, both the Bombardiers Yukio Kondo and the Red Aces Blayne Enlow were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Jersey City-North Haven game. Yukio Kondo will miss 3 games, while Blayne Enlow was suspended for 7 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Yukio Kondo commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." For the season Kondo is batting .209 with 50 hits and 7 home runs. He has scored 23 times and batted in 19. Looking at his season stats, Enlow has won 8 and lost 5, collecting 170 strikeouts and 39 walks in 133 innings with a 3.18 ERA. |
