Luis Cessa Lost for Season Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 The season is ending on a bad note for Luis Cessa, reliever for the Mobile Red Foxes. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Cessa was hurt against the Chesapeake Tar Heels while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament and will be out for at least 9 months. This year Cessa has 21 relief appearances with 2 saves, 1-0 season record and a 1.62 ERA. He has hurled 33.1 innings, given up 23 hits, struck out 45 and walked 15. Opposing clubs have batted .200 against the Mobile reliever. |
