Morris Smacks 5 Hits for Rattlers Monday, July 5th, 2021 Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Nick Morris said his club's tilt with the North Salem Tsunami "felt almost like batting practice." The 22-year-old second baseman went a remarkable 5-for-5 at the plate. "I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later. However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Worcester Rattlers, who were topped by the Tsunami, 10-7. "It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Rattlers manager Buddy Carlyle said. "Sometimes Nick is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-5 and lose than go 0-for-5 and lose." Nick Morris tripled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Stephen Halstead in the 9th.
