Cruz Pounds 3 HR Thursday, July 1st, 2021 Lexington second baseman Trei Cruz led the Silver Wolves to a 6-5 triumph over the North Haven Red Aces, crushing three home runs. "He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Lexington skipper Buck Showalter. Indeed, Cruz put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 3 hits in 3 at-bats with 3 runs and 4 RBIs. "I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Cruz said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em." Trei Cruz hit a solo-shot off Isaiah Campbell in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Isaiah Campbell in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Robbie Erlin in the 8th. To date this season Cruz is hitting .239 with 3 home runs. |
