Monday, June 28th, 2021
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the North Salem's 10-6 win over Raleigh today, right fielder Jarren Duran was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Raleigh Grounds.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Duran said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Jarren Duran singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Looking at his season stats, Duran has compiled a .360 batting average and a .407 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 16 runs.
