Rivera Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Saturday, September 5th, 2020 Emmanuel Rivera, third baseman for the Moreno Valley Speed Devils, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 5-2 victory today over the Birmingham Drifters at Drifters Stadium today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Birmingham manager Joe Brown said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Emmanuel Rivera singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Mack Lemieux in the 9th. Looking at his stats this year, Rivera has compiled a .278 batting average, while hitting 11 home runs and driving in 33 runs. He has played in 94 games and scored 39 runs. |
