Players Suspended in Baycats-Armada Donnybrook Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 After an intense confrontation, both the Baycats Yairo Munoz and the Armada Sam McWilliams were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Oxnard-Concordia game. Yairo Munoz will miss 4 games, while Sam McWilliams was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Yairo Munoz commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." To date this year Munoz is batting .235 with 16 home runs. This year McWilliams has registered 1 save in 12 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 6-5 won-lost mark with a 2.77 ERA. In 91 innings he has fanned 107. |
