Newark Captures East Division Crown Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 Let loose, Newark fans, your team has won the East Division. The Newark Crawdads have officially captured the crown, the 2nd in franchise history. "We've got a team that can do it all and we think do it just as well as anyone in the league," said starting pitcher Tommy Parsons. "I hope no one is taking us lightly once the playoffs start." Certainly the team's division crown will garner them a fair bit of respect, as the 81-59 record puts the club in position for the franchise's 1st OLL Triple A championship. "You never get tired of being in the playoffs," said manager Eric Haver. "This is what you play for." |
