Armada Olivares to Miss Year Saturday, August 14th, 2021 The doctors have spoken and Pablo Olivares of the Concordia Armada didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old center fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Olivares sustained his season-ending injury during the Buffalo Diamond Miners game yesterday at Diamond Miners Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while being hit by a pitch. Today the Concordia medical staff reported Olivares had a broken kneecap and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months. So far this year Olivares is hitting .274 with 6 home runs. |
