Arrows Anderson Espinoza to Miss Year

The season is finished for Anderson Espinoza of the Jackson Arrows. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Arrows closer suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Little Rock Purple Warriors. Team doctors said it would take at least 8 months to heal.
Up to this point in the season, Espinoza has put up these stats: 38 relief appearances, 24 saves, 43.1 IP, 71 strikeouts and 2.49 ERA. His won-lost record is 3-2 with the opposition is hitting .134 against him.
