David Parkinson Sidelined for Season Wednesday, August 11th, 2021 The season is finished for David Parkinson of the Eaton Blackbirds. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Blackbirds starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Violet Railsplitters. Team doctors said it would take at least 10-11 months to heal. To date this year Parkinson has compiled a 9-8 mark with a 3.78 ERA in 24 starts. |
